In the Dead of Night Challenge
Emergency Evacuation
Objectives: Kill all the walkers
Special Enemies: SWATs and walkers on fire
The only slightly tricky part of this map is getting rid of the 2 walkers that spawn on the bottom right. Shane as leader is fine if you arm him with a harpoon gun. As hunters start charged this week he can root anything close enough to attack on the first round. Team him with Mercer (with the ensnare bulldozer, Rosie’s AR or the obliterator) and Yumiko (with the import .57), who can make short work of the 2 that spawn on the right. Once you have taken those out it is easy to position your team at the end of that path and take out anything that comes looking. Using root and cripple shots nothing should be able to get too close and with an all offensive ranged team they should make short work of this map.
SPAWNS: Burning ones from the house and some from the fence on the left of the map (stops when the 13th walker spawns)

The Pyre
Objectives: Reach the exit
Special Enemies: Burning ones spawning from the pyre
This map is fairly straight forward at lower levels but gets trickier later on. Shane as leader is fine if you arm him with a harpoon gun and team him with Mercer (with the ensnare bulldozer, Rosie’s AR or the obliterator) and Yumiko (with the import .57). Some people like to use Carol’s Cookie’s to give Mercer a little extra stopping power and others prefer Michonne’s rainbow cat to get an additional charged attack, but the objective isn’t to kill it is simply getting to the exit (top middle). This map suits a SPY (Sasha, Princess and Yumiko) team at higher levels, or you may prefer Zeke as leader with 2 great bruisers to stun walkers long enough for you to sneak past to the exit

Midnight Snack
Objectives: Collect the loot and get out
Special Enemies: Burning walkers emerge from the bonfire at the top right of the map after you have opened the 3rd crate and the there is supposed to be a Tank (that I haven’t seen)
The aim of this map is to unlock all 3 crates and get to the exit on the left. There is no kill requirement so Bruisers work best on this map. There are a large group of walkers hovering around the camp area to the left and you need to get past them to unlock 2 of the crates. If you use Glenn armed with the riot gear shield you can stun or herd most of them on the first turn whilst you get bust opening the 3 crates. I prefer to exit along the bottom of the map but be careful as unlocking the 3rd crate triggers spawns from the bonfire on the top left of the map and by the time you get to the blind turn on the bottom right there are usually some burning walkers ready to ambush you and cost you vital stars right on the finish line. At higher levels I prefer to switch out Mercer for Zeke as leader as this gives your bruisers some added protection whilst also having enough power to break through a road block with the morning star (which often happens in the bottom right at higher levels).

The Narrow Path
Objectives: Open gates and get to the exit
Special Enemies: Burning walkers
This map can be completed with the maximum 4 stars at just about any level. There are spawns but you can block them if you remain at the spawn position for 10 turns. Arm Shane with and another ranged player with incendiary and crippling weapons and Drive-by-Daryl as your gate opener. In the middle path there are 2 walkers to kill so crippling works well here but at harder levels, you may need to activate supports to buy you time to kill them, but the golden rule is DON’T LEAVE THE SPAWN POINT FOR AT LEAST 10 TURNS! I use one of my turns to switch Yumiko and Shane around so that Shane can pick off the 3 walkers on the left side of the fence. Once those 3 are dead you can move forward and take out all the walkers on the right side. Once every walker is dead use DBD to open the first fence and move Shane and Yumi into position in front of the second fence. Use DBD to operate the 2nd lever and get Shane and Yumi into position on the exit strip. At this point there will be a spawn, however DBD’s LT allows him to run past all of them and get to the exit without fighting. Occasionally, walkers spawn on the exit strip so it is useful to make sure your Shane is fully charged.
SPAWNS: Turn based countdown (which should be by-passed) and on second gate unlock.

Nightly Visitors
Objectives: Kill the boss walkers
Special Enemies: 2 x Tanks
Pretty much every week there is a map that is just a chore to get through and in this challenge it is Nightly Visitors. The requirement is to kill both Tanks and get to the exit on the far right of the map. In early rounds where it only takes a few shots to take the Tanks out it is fairly manageable however this map is littered with blind spots that can cost you precious stars, when a walker appears as if by magic and takes a swipe at you. Shane copes well in early rounds where charge points are not so important but at higher levels you will probably have more luck with the SPY team, rooting the Tanks and setting them on fire. The starting point on the left of the map is a spawn point for walkers so it is advised to camp there to block attacks from the rear. Once the Tanks are burned out, you can edge your way to the exit maintaining a stun wall around your team but it can be slow going as by the time both Tanks are dead the map is pretty full with walkers everywhere.

Objectives: Find the loot and get out
Special Enemies: None
There are six crates to search on this map to find the 3 with loot. It has zero special walkers so in early rounds it’s pretty easy. I prefer to work in an anti-clockwise direction so I can search the crates in the top right early on before it gets too congested with the walkers who spawn every turn from the body pile. Bruisers work well on this map as they can take a hit whilst opening crates. If luck is on your side and you find the right 3 crates early on then you can be in and out of this map almost without a fight. In later rounds however the spawn rate can be quite oppressive.
