Season 11B Challenge
Heist
Objectives: Find the bag
Special Enemies: 1 x Tank, but has additional Tanks and SWATs as you progress through the rounds
The aim of this map is to make your way to the room at the right of the map, collect the bag, make your way back to the start, rescue the survivor and leave. This is a map where multiple strategies work. It is possible to stay put in the first room and kill walkers who emerge through the door until it is safe to head towards the bag. There is a spawn the first room on turn 2 that includes a Tank so you need to be ready for that if you choose this strategy. There is a barrel of goo that can help here but be warned there is a limit on how many times you can dip into it. The strategy I prefer is to unlock the door with Sasha on turn 1 whilst Yumiko and Mercer cover themselves with goo and get started towards the bag. On turn 2 they get closer whilst Sasha covers herself with goo and follows. Once your Yumiko and Mercer are in place at the bottom right by the bag you can use your Sasha to block the doorway whilst Yumi and Mercer take care of the walkers in that room. Mercer with any of the top offensive assault weapons (bulldozer, Rosita’s AR or Terminus rifle) and carol’s Cookie’s activated can be a great start here and you will get a second volley with a carefully aimed shot
SPAWNS: On turn 2 there is a spawn from the start of the map that includes a Tank

Missionaries
Objectives: Reach the exit
Special Enemies: 2 x Tanks (more in later rounds)
No special tricks on this map, just make your way to the exit at the right of the map. There are 2 tanks to get past, but you don’t have to kill them which is useful in later rounds. Having Mercer as leader is useful but it does mean that the spawn size is pretty big. Use caution as there is a tree and bushes in the middle of the map that creates a blind spot that can make it very easy to lose stars if you rush it.

Take Care of This
Objectives: Kill all walkers
Special Enemies: 2 x Tank
The initial spawn is 13 regular walkers and 2 Tanks, but be ready as an additional 3 walkers join the party from the top close to the start on turn 2. Use Mercer as leader armed with the bulldozer (and Carol’s Cookies), teamed with Sasha and a harpoon gun, and Yumiko with the Import .57 (and Michonne’s rainbow cat) and you should be able to make pretty short work of this map.

Now We Take It All
Objectives: Kill the Raiders and Reach the Exit
Special Enemies: 2 x Raiders and 1 x Tank
The immediate objective on this map is kill the two raiders that appear instantly. One is a shooter class and one is a scout class so the priority is to take out the shooter before he fires a shot. If you have Carol’s Cookie’s equipped on your Mercer use it on the first turn, which will hopefully stun him. If it does use your Yumi to cripple the scout and do extra damage with Sasha. If the shooter does not stun straight away concentrate your Yumi and Sasha attack on him (the scout usually dashes for cover). Once you have taken out both Raiders there is a spawn that includes a Tank at the top of the map and lots of normal walkers trying to block your exit. On early maps you can get past these with ease, but later you will need to battle past them. Once the spawn rates are heavy enough, you can leave the Raiders to the spawns and get to the exit strip fast. I find that towards the end it is useful to team your Mercer with a pair of bruisers to act as a human shield whilst you wait for the walkers to chow down on the Raiders.

Hwacha
Objectives: open the Gate
Special Enemies: 3 x Raiders and lots of SWATs (more with each spawn)
Use Mercer as leader armed with the bulldozer (and Carol’s Cookies), teamed with Sasha and a harpoon gun, and Yumiko with the Import .57 (and Michonne’s rainbow cat) and you should be able to incapacitate the Raiders on the right, so you can leave them at the Mercy of the horde and concentrate on finishing the walkers and SWATs on the left. Use Sasha to unlock the gate (3 turns) then you are good to go. In the early rounds Mercer, Sasha and Yumi can take on a lot without too much effort but there is a ‘trick’ on this map that can help you get out pretty quick without too much of a fight. A trio of bruisers with Riot Gear Glenn as leader to hopefully start your team charged can often get through this map without a fight. It is imperative that one of your bruisers start the gate unlock on their first turn so the spawn from the left cannot reach you before 3 turns are up. Use your other bruisers to stun the scout Raider close to the gate (and charge if you need to). I like to arm my RGG with the riot shield as it creates a virtual stun wall around your team. All you need to do is keep your gate opener protected for 2 turns and you’re done.

The Interview
Objectives: Rescue the survivor and kill all walkers
Special Enemies: 1 x Tank
The initial spawn is 13 walkers one of whom is wrestling with a survivor. Objective one is to kill that walker to rescue the survivor and objective 2 is to kill the rest of the walkers. It’s a pretty easy map with Mercer as leader armed with the bulldozer (and Carol’s Cookies), teamed with Sasha with a harpoon gun, and Yumiko with the Import .57 (and Michonne’s rainbow cat). Be aware that the Tank spawns from the top left of the map on turn 3 so you will need to keep it at a distance with either the harpoon charge attack or Yumiko’s crippling weapon. The import .57 is good because if the Tank is on fire it dies quicker, and stops you getting into trouble with the horde approaching from the right.
